Moving to China for a year was an overwhelming adventure for Jenn Diehl and her family. For the first six weeks there the family suffered through sweltering heat, very little food, and plenty of stress. She reached out to me to create a special family moment as a gift to her husband. This photo was the inspiration.
She describes this moment:
“This was a beach near our home in China. It was the first time we had made it to the beach after arriving, and somehow surviving the horribly difficult week or so preceding. It was probably the first time they were able to just have fun, and not be stressed out about everything being new and different and crazy. Just the three of them having fun together (not a common occurrence) and being kids. The sky was blue, the weather was perfect, and it was a small amount of peace and joy in an otherwise very stressful six weeks of our new adventure."
